Consolidate, liquidate, or move?

I have so much “junk” laying around, and I never seem to get around to hauling it all together or doing anything with it. Hoarding all the things. Sometimes I will undock a ship and have it unceremonially blown up by some group of pilots, when all I wanted was a bit of 1v1 action. The days of trying solo are wearing thin now.

Faction Warfare is where I hope to get into some small scale fleets of my own and perhaps have a better a chance at putting lashes of green on my own killboard.

The new combined assets total says I have a few Bil laying around. This spans over 70 stations, in all regions of k-space. Some of it is “stuck” in null space that I can’t access – these assets will have to stay there just now. The majority of my junk seems to now also lay in enemy territory, high-sec space, making journeys here quite hard when I am displaying faction colours of the enemy.

When I do move things, I have grown to trust using Blockade Runners. They are great ships with an impressive “fleet hull” for a ship of its size, and a tank to rival some battleships. The bonus traits to armour tank and warp core strength on my Occator has enabled me to escape situations any other hauler would crumble under. Taking an alpha volley from gate camps to slipping away from pursuing interceptors, it has impressed me more than it has let me down.

Moving assets eventually becomes piece-meal as your ships reach their capacity and you have to upgrade. I found this out when moving a Citadel, its fittings, ammo, and fighters. These things are bulky, even for a Blockade Runner, and only manageable if you have the time for multiple journeys.

When I first started playing EVE, the Obelisk was the first “large” ship that made me drool a little bit, until I saw its cost and capacity. They were both beyond me at that stage, but I still think the ship looks really impressive. Moving assets on this scale is another gameplay mechanic altogether, and perhaps I should leave to the professionals in the field of logistics, and pay someone to move my stuff for me?

There are several groups out there who will be able to do large capacity contracts but not from visiting 70+ stations. If I were able to do most of the consolidation of my assets, it would make the larger contracts more direct for me to get my items to market. The end goal being ~10bil ISK extra in liquid.

That much extra ISK I could buy my own Obelisk and maybe* save some ISK. I have never used any of the logistics groups services before, but it looks like I may have some maths to look at soon.

Wish I was good at making spreadsheets.
