It is around this time of year that a lot of EVE Meets take place, organized by the player community, in more localized geographical locations. We don’t all live in Iceland, or have easy access to Fanfest, for some of us this is as good as it gets.
Glasgow’s summer EVE Meet takes place next week, Saturday 3rd June, and I will be attending, if slightly later than the 14:00 start time. You can check out the full details here: http://www.evemeet.net/index.php/en/upcoming-meets-en/eve-glasgow-june-3rd-2nd
It has been a few years now since I have attended, mostly due to me always being late to request the day off work, this time I was better prepared but still managed to get roped into doing a shift on Saturday morning. Earning shekels is always good I suppose.
I am looking forward to seeing some old faces again, and new faces are always welcome to EVE meets – in fact, it’s encouraged.
The picture in this post is from a previous EVE meet in Glasgow, which had a couple of devs turn up with a rather large bag of goodies. With or with-out the goodie bag this was still one of the best player gatherings I have attended and made several new friends.
Now I am a bit more “space-famous” maybe there will be more people there who will have read my ramblings here, or elsewhere across the meta verse of New Eden. The main thing that I spend my time on is the EVE_NT Arena website, and with the ATXV prelims being covered in the Arena, I am hoping to perhaps have a few chats about the upcoming AT.
If you also feel so compelled, you can buy me a beer when I turn up.
